This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to a diverse property portfolio, direct visibility to leadership, and a clear path for long-term growth within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.Salary: $80,000-$95,000Why This Opportunity Stands Out:• Join a highly respected Chicago real estate investment and development firm• Gain exposure to a diverse portfolio including office, multifamily, retail, hospitality, parking, and restaurant operations• Work directly with the Controller and senior leadership on high-impact accounting and financial projects• Strong opportunity for career advancement and increased responsibility as the company continues to grow• Collaborative, team-oriented culture where you can truly make the role your own• Memorial Day through Labor Day half-day Fridays with catered lunch provided• Employee discounts at company-owned restaurants• Work-from-home flexibility with 12 remote days annually• Exposure to budgeting, loan compliance, cash management, joint ventures, and real estate operationsKey Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:• Maintain general ledger accounting for a portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties• Prepare financial statements, lender reporting packages, and owner reporting schedules• Participate in monthly close processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis• Assist with annual budgets, CAM reconciliations, and real estate tax reconciliations• Support cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting• Manage lease administration within Yardi and coordinate tenant improvement draw processesQualifications for the Senior Accountant:• 2-5 years of accounting experience within commercial real estate• Strong understanding of GAAP and tax accounting principles• Experience with Yardi and advanced Microsoft Excel skills• CPA or active progress toward CPA certification preferred
