SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY: Performs all manner inventory practices in compliance with State & Federal audit guidelines. Department: Facilities Warehouse Reports To: Warehouse Manager WHAT YOU’LL DO: Serves as specialist within the Fixed Asset Department for full support and responsibility for managing, coordinating, and auditing IPS equipment inventories. Assist with purchases of new scanning hardware and software. Assist in maintaining the computerized inventory and record keeping system. Initiate, coordinate, and complete all reports pertaining to equipment inventories for Federal audits. Evaluate records against disposition and retention schedules (District Obsolescence Plan). Be available to assist with any special projects that relates to equipment inventory management. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve equipment inventory management operations, streamline work process and work cooperatively to reach quality customer service levels. Assist with the district’s Federal Auction. Clean and monitor inventory recycling and/or storage areas. Control fixed assets movement in compliance with IPS Fixed Asset Guidelines and Federal guidelines EDGAR 74.34 and 80.32 Research and resolve inventory against purchase orders and ensure proper tagging and data entry into computerized inventory record timekeeping system. Abides by Board of School Commissioners policies, IPS rules, Federal and State law. Remains current in professional matters. Other duties as assigned.
