RN - ICU

Neuro ICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday night), Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

We are seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong neuro experience and be adept in managing critically ill patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a Neuro ICU.
• Perform airway management, central line management, and arterial line management.
• Administer medications, including continuous IV sedation and titration of IV vasopressors.
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamics and laboratory results, including ABGs.
• Manage patients on ventilators and those requiring BIPAP/CPAP support.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Neuro ICU nursing experience.
• Current certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience with management of patients post-neurosurgery as well as critical care patients.
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred.
• Current, valid RN license or compact license required at submission.
