Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing interventions.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family caregivers, and other stakeholders to develop cohesive treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on strategies to enhance progress beyond clinical environments.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care.
  • Maintain documentation that is accurate, timely, and compliant with state, federal, and institutional standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaborative peer interactions.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still pursuing ASHA accreditation.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is desirable.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
Skills
  • Deep expertise in evidence-based practices for patients of all ages, with a solid knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
