- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing interventions.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family caregivers, and other stakeholders to develop cohesive treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on strategies to enhance progress beyond clinical environments.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care.
- Maintain documentation that is accurate, timely, and compliant with state, federal, and institutional standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaborative peer interactions.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still pursuing ASHA accreditation.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
- Deep expertise in evidence-based practices for patients of all ages, with a solid knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to tailor therapeutic techniques to address various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Sound clinical judgement and effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation requirements.
