We are actively seeking a Network Security Engineer with expertise in firewall technologies, rule set management, log data analysis, and firewall optimization. This role will focus on integrating existing firewall infrastructure with the newly acquired Illumio Zero Trust Micro-Segmentation solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of Illumio Zero Trust Micro-Segmentation and integrate it with existing firewall infrastructure
• Serve as the primary technical interface between firewall technologies and Zero Trust micro-segmentation solutions
• Utilize SQL to analyze and extract insights from security-related datasets
• Provide subject matter expertise on firewall architecture, rule sets, security log analysis, and firewall functionality
• Support the project team by interpreting firewall data and recommending security improvements
• Research and evaluate advanced network security models and their practical implementation

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Network Security Engineer or Network Security Architect
• Strong expertise with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls (preferred) or Cisco Firewalls
• Proven experience with firewall rule management, optimization, security log analysis, and infrastructure integration
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture and micro-segmentation
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing security data
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
• Experience with Terraform and GitHub
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
