Forklift Driver

The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and store products and materials safely and efficiently. This role ensures that goods are handled properly, inventory is maintained accurately, and all safety standards are followed within the warehouse or production facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets.
• Transport products to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping zones.
• Inspect forklifts before use; report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (OSHA compliance).
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Perform inventory checks, labeling, and record-keeping as required.
• Assist with order picking, staging, and packaging when needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and logistics staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid forklift certification/license (required).
• Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Working Conditions

• Warehouse/production environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Flexible to work overtime or different shifts as needed.
