Role of the Position Student Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Psychological Assistant/Staff Psychologist/Senior Staff Psychologist position. CAPS is an IACS‑Accredited center within the Student Wellness unit that includes the Student Health Center, Care Center, Wellness Education and Health Promotion, Disability Resource Center, Military and Veteran Services, and the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities. This is a full‑time, 12‑month position. Responsibilities Provide efficient individual, couples, and group therapy. Conduct crisis assessment and intervention. Consult and develop outreach programming for the university community. Supervise doctoral interns and graduate trainees. Participate on divisional and university committees. Minimum Qualifications Psychological Assistant: doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited institution, demonstrated experience in generalist counseling, and enrollment in the Nevada licensure process (14 months for postdoctoral candidates, 24 months for new doctoral graduates). Completion of a background screening is required. Staff Psychologist: doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, demonstrated generalist counseling experience, and independent practice license in Nevada before start of employment. Completion of a background screening is required. Senior Staff Psychologist: same requirements as Staff Psychologist plus a minimum of 5 years of licensed clinical work experience as a psychologist. Completion of a background screening is required. All applicants must have strong clinical assessment and crisis intervention skills, experience in supervision and training, proficiency in brief therapy and group counseling, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional experience in a university counseling center is preferred. Candidates from APA‑accredited graduate or internship programs are preferred. Occasional evening and weekend activities may be required. All employees must comply with the Student Wellness Center Employee Exposure to Communicable Disease Policy. Salary Range Psychological Assistant: $81,000 minimum. Staff Psychologist: $105,253 minimum. Senior Staff Psychologist: $120,000 minimum.
