Today, it serves as a Level I Trauma Center and a central hub for advanced healthcare, offering access to a wide range of specialties and cutting-edge resources.As a Float Pool RN, you'll enjoy enhanced compensation, a flexible schedule, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across diverse units and communities.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in departments such as Women's Services, Labor & Delivery, Acute Care, and Intensive CareCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered careAdapt quickly to different clinical environments, patient populations, and unit needsCross-train across multiple specialties (with potential for additional financial incentives)Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support patient outcomes and team communicationMinimum Qualifications:Current RN license in the state of Utah (or compact license)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providersStrong verbal and written communication skillsRNs with less than 12 months of RN experience must obtain a BSN within 5 years of their start datePreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in acute care, critical care, or women's services2 years acute RN experience preferredCurrent license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025. Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire.Posting Specifics:Location: Intermountain Medical Center – Murray, UtahShift Details: Full-time, variable shifts or straight nights (Shift differential available)Schedule: Flexible holiday staffing and varied weekend requirementsCompensation: Includes a 10% Float Pool differential and potential cross-training incentivesRelocation Assistance: May be available for qualified external candidatesOngoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
