Job Title: Phlebotomist II - Bartlesville Job Description

We are seeking a Phlebotomist II to join our team in Bartlesville. This role involves performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging samples, and maintaining accurate records. The candidate will be responsible for explaining procedures, collecting specimens, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to established procedures.
• Centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Understand and execute physicians' orders accurately.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure correct labeling.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department training sessions.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results.

• Phlebotomy certification
• Proficiency in blood draw and venipuncture techniques
• Specimen collection and processing
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to perform venipuncture and specimen collection with accuracy and professionalism
• Experience drawing approximately 50 patients per day
• Reviewing and processing laboratory orders
• Experience receiving and accessioning specimens into a laboratory information system

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Experience performing high-volume blood draws
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Previous hospital-based phlebotomy experience
• Experience working with pediatric and geriatric patients

The position is based in a hospital setting and offers a collaborative and supportive team environment. The work involves a fast-paced laboratory and patient care environment, with approximately 50 patient draws per day. There is an opportunity to gain experience with a nationally recognized laboratory organization.

This is a Contract position based out of Bartlesville, OK.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
