EHC is seeking a Yard Forklift Operator for a client in the Houston Area.

Day Shift

Pay Rate $17.00

Primary Function

As a Yard Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in supporting inventory and material handling operations by safely operating forklifts and other material-moving equipment. This position is responsible for transporting heavy products, equipment, and materials throughout the facility and yard while supporting manufacturing and logistics activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain required forklift certification.
• Transport full-length pipe and other materials throughout the yard, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Move various types of materials both indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Perform required preventative maintenance and routine inspections on forklifts.
• Maintain pipe storage racks and material storage areas.
• Support manufacturing operations by moving products to required locations.
• Assist with rig preparation and return operations as needed.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities when required.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Tools, Equipment, and Machines

• Forklifts and related material handling equipment.
• Applicable inspection, measuring, and test equipment as required by work instructions and operating procedures.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma, GED, trade school certification, or equivalent literacy skills.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of industry experience required for advanced forklift classifications (Category IV or higher).

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to successfully complete required proficiency testing and training.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential job duties within 90 days of hire.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational efficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Training Requirements

• Company safety training.
• Required reading and familiarization with management system documentation.
• Quality assurance and compliance orientation.
• Formal training on company work instructions and applicable industry standards as outlined in the training matrix.
