Must have a valid drivers license./ppJob Summary: The Courier I is responsible for providing local transport of animals and items between work sites./ppEssential Functions/ppLocal Transport:/pulliProvide local transport of animals and items./liliPrepare the route and vehicle for transport./liliComplete basic preventative maintenance checks./liliEnsure appropriate loading, unloading, and care of animals and items./liliPlan and complete work based on the ticketing system and priorities set by the team./li/ulpCommunication and Culture:/pulliCommunicate in a positive and professional manner with customers, other employees, and volunteers./liliPromote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion to make AHS a welcoming environment for all./li/ulpTechnology:/pulliClock in and out of shifts using ADP./liliMonitor AHS email and other messaging software./li/ulpOther duties as assigned./ppSchedule and Attendance:/pulliRequired to be on time to scheduled shifts during operational hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays./liliMay be required to attend occasional off-site meetings and events./liliAttend and participate in regular team meetings and one-on-one meetings with direct leader./li/ulpWork Environment:/pulliEnvironment will be predominately in the vehicle and on the road between sites or other locations./liliThe vehicle will be at times loud, crowded, dirty, wet, and have strong odors./liliMay be exposed to extreme weather conditions including but not limited to cold, heat, rain, and snow when outside and on the road./liliExposure to zoonotic diseases and pests such as fleas and ticks./liliPossibility of being bitten or scratched./li/ul/div
