IT Business Analyst
Location: New York, NY
Duration: Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional specifications, Agile/SDLC, and stakeholder management. Experience supporting Credit Products and Secured Financing trading desks, including Repo and Securities Lending/Borrowing, is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
- Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimization.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for development teams.
- Create process flows, business documentation, reports, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with business users, developers, QA, and project teams throughout the SDLC.
- Support testing, UAT, training, implementation, and deployment of new systems and enhancements.
- Facilitate communication between business and technology teams.
- Track requirements, issues, and project activities using Agile tools.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business and technology decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as an IT Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and business process analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Experience creating functional requirements and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Visio, JIRA, Tableau, Rovo, and Copilot.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, SAFe, or similar certification is a plus.
- Experience with Credit Products and Secured Financing, particularly Repo and Securities Lending/Borrowing trading desks, is highly preferred.
