The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Banquet Server to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. The Banquet Server will be responsible for consistently delivering positive, courteous, and professional guest service during banquet meal functions and in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.

Responsibilities:

• Set up banquet meal functions as prescribed by the Banquet Event order
• Perform tableside or buffet food preparation and service as required
• Ensure that banquet work station is clean and stocked with all items needed for the banquet function
• Inform supervisor of any problems and/or guest complaints
• Clean off all glasses, silver, china, etc. from all dinner tables, reception tables, and buffet tables during and after the function
• Greet guests as needed and continually monitor guests to ensure that their needs are met
• If appropriate, serve all alcoholic beverages knowledgeably and in strict compliance with all applicable alcoholic beverage Texas state laws
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years' experience preferred
• 5-star hotel setting
• Must have a working knowledge of beverages, food, wines and different styles of service
• Bartending experience is strongly preferred in a banquet setting
• Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
• Must have the ability to carry a tray up to 25lbs of food or dirty dishes
