Research Associate II

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Research Associate II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Lexington, MA, 02420. Details of the position are as follows: Job Description: Pay: $48.38/hr to start! 1 year contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance. Monday- Friday, standard day shift, onsite position. Position will mainly be responsible for siRNA drug candidate screening, hit identification, lead optimization, mammalian cell culture, in vitro screening, cell-based assays, RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, evaluating drug efficacy. Responsibilities also include analyzing experimental data, presenting results during group meetings, maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks, documenting experimental procedures, writing SOPs and technical reports, reviewing scientific literature, supporting research planning. Position will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional research teams, troubleshooting experimental challenges, contributing hands-on to laboratory research, addressing questions related to drug efficacy, supporting the advancement of siRNA therapeutic development. Qualifications: Master's degree is required. 4+ years' experience within industry/academic is required. Experience with primary cell culture is required, adipocytes/hepatocytes preferred. Experience with SiRNA / RNAi is required. Experience with in vitro screening, 3D culture systems, organoids, organ-on-chip is preferred. Experience with molecular biology techniques such as RT-qPCR and RNA extraction is preferred. Experience with cell-based assays is preferred.
