Working Schedule PRN Weekdays General Description of the Job Class The Clinical Pharmacist - Education/Administration (PRN) position provides specialized support for the development, coordination, and delivery of pharmacy education and administrative initiatives within the department. The pharmacist collaborates with leadership, preceptors, and learners to enhance educational programs, assist with accreditation and regulatory readiness, and ensure consistent documentation and operational standards. Working on an as-needed basis, this position helps maintain high-quality pharmacy services through effective administrative support, educational resource development, and participation in departmental goals and initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities Rotating shift (PRN) service to assist the Pharmacy Education Coordinator with one or more of the following duties/responsibilities: Support DUHS residency training programs by assisting with the coordination of educational programming to support residents and Residency Program Directors, including but not limited to: Educational series (Grand Rounds, Case Presentations, Preceptor Development Seminars) Resident accreditation Resident recruitment initiatives Resident orientation and onboarding Resident graduation and close-out Residency website maintenance Teaching and Precepting Certificate Assist the Pharmacy Education Coordinator in implementing wellness and resiliency programs for learners and preceptors including organizing and implementing the planned activities. Contribute to the development or updating of policies and procedures pertaining to learners, residents, and those involved in pharmacy education and residency training in compliance with local, state, and national standards. Maintain knowledge and understanding of the latest methods and practice standards as it pertains to the development of learners. Accountable for the highest standards of integrity and quality in implementing education and professional development programming at DUHS. Work with the respective Pharmacy Education Committee members to maintain rotation schedules and rotation change requests throughout the school year including securing rotation sites based on preceptor availability. Assist the Pharmacy Education Coordinator in overseeing and facilitating the School’s Seminar course at DUHS including recruiting evaluators, scheduling presentations in alignment with School standards. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and/or initiatives efficiently and effectively Prior experience with precepting students and residents Relevant experience in developing and delivering educational programming Working knowledge of contemporary educational methods and technologies Effective communication skills tailored to meet the individual needs of learners, preceptors, and leaders Minimum Qualifications Education Doctor of Pharmacy Degree OR BS Pharmacy Degree Experience With a BS Pharmacy degree, two years of pharmacy practice experience, or acceptable board certification, or completion of an accredited residency program and demonstrated ability to achieve positive patient outcomes in a similar environment is required. With Doctor of Pharmacy degree, no experience is required. Completion of pharmacy residency and an additional 2 years of leadership experience as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents preferred. Clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
