MKCI is a civil defense litigation firm with a proven track record of successfully defending clients in high-stakes cases across various product liability/toxic tort and general liability matters. Although our attorneys are skilled in handling diverse legal matters, our expertise lies in litigating and trying complex cases related to product liability (including asbestos and talc claims), premises liability, transportation, public entities, construction defect, labor law, insurance coverage, and environmental issues. We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our New York City/New Jersey team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development within a supportive and collegial environment. Responsibilities Include: Attend depositions and court appearances. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters. Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and management. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, client communications, and discovery. Conduct legal research and analysis. Assist in the preparation of cases for trial with opportunity for second chair trial experience if desired. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York. 2 to 7 years of experience as a civil defense litigator (salary commensurate with experience - range $100,000-$150,000). Previous Civil Defense Litigation experience preferred. Superior analytical skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
