Desktop And VDI Infrastructure Engineer
Primary responsibility is efficient operation and development of the corporate Desktop and VDI VM infrastructure. Includes administration, installation configuration and maintenance of Windows Desktops, and VDI infrastructure. System administration, including account administration, file permissions, access control levels, quality access reviews, audit documentation, virus protection and firewall services as related to the Windows environment; operating systems support and maintenance. Receives guidance and tasks from the Lead Engineers for system implementation.
Adhere to standard service level agreements, for heartbeat and day-to-day support.
Exhibits poise and confidence when working with and communicating to our customers and vendors. Independently resolves problems. Recognizes risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate them. Providing customer service & support to all customers internal & external. Participate in process improvements for the Windows server & Desktop environments. Participates in the review of application supported version for Windows systems and applications. Provide administrations support for operating system upgrades, application upgrades as well as system patch management and maintenance. Provide statistics and reports to analyze metrics for departmental reporting. Provide tier 2 support and maintenance for Windows desktops and applications. Provide support to immediate management & execution of assignments for projects.
3-5 Years Experience
Infrastructure Engineer with a hands-on experience. Building Desktops, images, patching. Scripting and SCCM experience Required. Applying Patching, Vulnerability remediation and CIS bench mark remediation. Extensive Windows 10 and Scripting experience. Extensive SDLC experience with Infrastructure provisioning, Desktop engineering and Project management. Ability to analyze and trouble-shoot Mid-tier/infrastructure issues. Very strong verbal and written communication skills (Critical). Ability to facilitate technical requirements gathering and design sessions. Collaborate and interpret business and technical needs. Excellent attention to detail and quality work products (Critical). Strong customer service skills with internal and external customers (Critical). Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision (Critical). Strong analytical and documentation skills. Excellent time management ability.
