Clinical Specialist
$85k - $105kProprio Vision
Proprio advances surgery with its proprietary platform that combines artificial intelligence, computer vision, and augmented reality. Our flagship product, the Paradigm system, is an advanced surgical navigation system providing vital information that integrates pre-operative imaging and planning with intraoperative performance data. This unique longitudinal dataset offers significant value to the entire surgical ecosystem. At Proprio, you’ll be part of a pioneering medical device company that is ambitiously tackling unsolved problems in surgery. Because there’s no predefined roadmap for success, we value team members who have “growth-company DNA” and are adaptable, open to change and resilient as we learn, improve and our plans evolve. In our small, high-performing team, every person counts – we rely on each other to own our work from start to finish. Collaboration is essential: our strength lies in bringing together diverse perspectives to push boundaries and deliver something greater than any one of us could alone. With an interdisciplinary team, we’re always learning from one another, and feedback is how we grow and close knowledge gaps. We dream big, but we execute with focus – prioritizing well and making thoughtful, data-driven decisions to deliver meaningful impact without losing sight of the “wow” factor. What We Are Looking For: At Proprio, we know high standards must be maintained to deliver impact at scale, and we want to work with people that embody our core values and foundational competencies:
- Be Bold : You know that your work matters - patients’ lives are in our metaphorical hands - and that gives you the energy to lean in and give your all, even when it gets hard or that means pushing beyond conventional wisdom and known possibilities, at the risk of failure.
- Evolve Relentlessly : You are an entrepreneur with a growth mindset who sees opportunity everywhere. To you, the word NO, simply means Next Option. You are comfortable with ambiguity and are not only change tolerating, but change seeking. You are comfortable living in the grey, see whitespace everywhere and can see around corners. You welcome friction and mistakes as compost for your growth, and greet adversity as something to further develop your resilience. You are always re-thinking the status quo, including within yourself and your own intellectual, emotional and social development.
- Sweat the Right Details : You know that details matter in our business and at our stage of growth. You understand that some details always matter because we have patients’ lives in our hands and are in a highly regulated, highly competitive industry.
- Take Ownership : You are accountable, take ownership and win as a team. You are a self-starter and self reliant, but know that you are not an island of one. You take your work to the finish line, including whenever it means helping our colleagues over the finish line with you. Secure enough in yourself and the culture of teamwork to know that you can ask for help, no matter the situation. You see the problem or issue as your own and take responsibility for the quality of outcomes, not just effort.
- Utilize clinical specialist expertise to prepare and cover navigated procedures and data recording procedures in new and existing accounts.
- Work with the radiology department to ensure proper preoperative scans are available to execute planning, segmentation, and refinement in advance of each surgery.
- Ensure appropriate instrumentation and equipment is prepared and available to support scheduled surgeries.
- Maintain proper credentials for hospital access at all target accounts.
- Liaise with hospital and/or physician to coordinate case activities and leverage internal Clinical experts as needed to prepare for more complicated procedures.
- Work closely with Manager and Product/Clinical Team to provide information on clinical product functionality so that coordinated feedback may occur including scheduling product maintenance and/or informing product development efforts.
- At times represent clinical input and expertise in internal product development and research laboratory investigations.
- As needed work closely with Commercial Team to train hospital and surgical staff on proper use of Proprio products.
- Periodically attend meetings, tradeshows, and medical education programs to support Proprio commercial initiatives.
- Work closely with Commercial Team to further develop training programs and medical education programs.
- Work closely with Manager and teammates to effectively onboard new teammates which may include new hires shadowing and/or co-leading cases.
- As needed support Commercial Team in development and execution of deployment and customer success plans to ensure on-time activation of new accounts and to maximize utilization of Paradigm system.
- Become a super user of Salesforce.com to ensure transparent communication and monitoring of critical activities at accounts.
- There will be business tasks that you may need to help support at times which will be delegated across team members by your Manager.
- Growth company DNA, as described above.
- A track record of consistently delivering results against quarterly and annual goals.
