About the Position

We are an established accounting firm seeking an experienced, Self Starter, self motivated, highly proficient bookkeeper, to join our team full-time.

This is not a data-entry or entry-level bookkeeping position . The person in this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate books for multiple clients, working extensively in QuickBooks Online , identifying and correcting accounting issues, completing reconciliations, and communicating directly with clients. This is a RESULT-DRIVEN position. you will be required to submit a report of your completed work on a monthly basis. Because we work with a variety of clients, professional communication and client service are just as important as technical bookkeeping skills.

QuickBooks Expertise — REQUIRED

You must be an advanced QuickBooks Online user , not simply someone who has used QuickBooks to enter transactions.

What You'll Do

• Work extensively in QuickBooks Online , including setup, maintenance, transaction coding, reconciliations, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Perform monthly bank and credit-card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Record and review journal entries and adjusting entries.
• Reconcile balance-sheet accounts and investigate unusual or unsupported balances.
• Perform month-end bookkeeping and closing procedures.
• Prepare and review Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports .
• Identify errors, duplicate transactions, incorrectly categorized transactions, unreconciled items, and other bookkeeping issues.
• Review client books for accuracy and completeness before financial information is provided to the client or tax/accounting team.

Bookkeeping Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience , preferably in a public accounting, bookkeeping, or client-accounting environment.

• Using QuickBooks only to enter transactions without performing reconciliations
• Performing bookkeeping only under constant supervision

You should be able to demonstrate your bookkeeping knowledge during the interview process .

Skills Assessment

Qualified candidates may be required to complete a practical bookkeeping and QuickBooks assessment .
