The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Summary of Job Function:

• Performs and interprets routine and complex assays on blood,
• Prepares blood and blood components for transfusion to a patient,
• Performs blood types and antibodies identification as well as blood group antigens and compatibility,
• Performs all related documentation tasks,
• Participates in evaluating, documenting and implementation of technical assays,
• Provides guidance to non-certified personnel,

Section III Job Qualifications, Education ,Training, Certification, Licensure

• Meets education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CMS, CLIA and the New Jersey State Department of health and Senior Services NJSDHSS laws,
• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field,
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred,
