Restaurant Team Member (Cashier & Kitchen)

At LV Petroleum, we are searching Restaurant Team Members to join our iconic Miss J's Cafe. As a team member at the cafe, you will be involved in a variety of duties centered around providing excellent customer service, preparing food, maintaining a clean store, and ensuring operational efficiency. WALK-IN INTERVIEWS: Held daily from 11am - 4pm inside our travel center located at 111 E County Rd 2, South Coffeyville, OK. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet and assist customers as they enter the store. Take customer orders and provide helpful suggestions based on their preferences. Ensure that customers have an enjoyable and satisfying experience. Address any customer questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Food Preparation: Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to Subway's standards. Handle ingredients (meats, vegetables, sauces, etc.) and follow food safety protocols for storage and handling. Toast sandwiches, prepare hot meals, and ensure proper portion sizes. Maintain quality and presentation of food items. Cash Handling: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer transactions (cash, credit, or mobile payments). Accurately handle cash and provide correct change. Assist with the balancing of the cash register and perform end-of-shift cash counting. Store Cleanliness and Maintenance: Keep the store clean and organized, including the dining area, restrooms, and kitchen. Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as wiping down counters, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash bins. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for both customers and staff. Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations. Assist with training new team members as needed. Support team efforts during busy periods and ensure the store runs efficiently. Stocking and Inventory: Restock ingredients, supplies, and other items as necessary. Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to management. Ensure that all ingredients and materials are stored properly to maintain freshness and safety. Opening and Closing Duties (if applicable): Help with opening and closing the store, which may include setting up or breaking down equipment, cleaning, and securing the store. Skills & Qualifications: Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and focused on delivering an excellent customer experience. Team-Oriented: Able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment. Attention to Detail: Ensure food quality and accuracy in orders. Time Management: Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while staying efficient. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks such as lifting and moving supplies. Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with customers and team members. Basic Math Skills: Able to accurately process transactions and manage cash. Job Requirements: Must be able to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Previous food service or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Must adhere to all health and safety regulations.
