Research Analyst

Private Markets Research ProfessionalCAPTRUST is seeking a Private Markets Research Professional who will play a critical role in sourcing, analyzing, recommending, and monitoring private market investment managers. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of industry trends within the private markets, with a particular focus on real estate and real assets. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Source, analyze, recommend, and monitor private market investment managers, with an emphasis on real estate and real assets opportunities• Prepare clear and comprehensive due diligence reports on managers, including qualitative and quantitative factors• Identify and implement process improvements in manager due diligence• Build and maintain a professional network that is beneficial to clients, ensuring unique access and distinctive value-add• Aid in the creation and distribution of client-facing materials related to approved fund options• Encourage and assist advisors in the ongoing application of investment strategies and research for the betterment of their clients and their portfolios• Help the firm advance conversations around new business opportunities through stellar client relationship management and lending subject matter expertise to prospective client pitchesMinimum Qualification:• Completion of a four-year college degree or combination of relevant work experience• 8 years' experience in financial services investment management• 3+ years of experience conducting due diligence on private capital managersDesired Qualifications/Skills:• CFA or CAIA preferred• Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.• Excellent communication skills, capable of creating engaging collateral and effectively presenting complex investment concepts to a diverse audience.• A proactive approach to participant engagement, with the ability to manage relationships both within the firm and with external partners.What can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?Our colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
