Senior IS Project Manager

Job Description​Leads IT projects by utilizing the IS Business Solution Fulfillment process and serves as a Program Owner for at least one program within the technology team. Acts as a role model to team members, project team members, and program stakeholders. Adheres to project management best practices; produces artifacts and deliverables that align with procedural requirements and support the success of projects and designated program(s). Recognizes that project management and program ownership effectiveness employ adherence to a methodology and requires customer-focused communications, sound judgement, responsiveness to changing business and end-user needs, and a commitment to quality implementations.Project delivery includes;• Clearly and thoughtfully plans for project delivery; establishes milestones and reports progress. Develops project scope, project plans, test plans and go-live plans in compliance with IS Business Solution Fulfillment.• Has the ability to flex between traditional waterfall and agile project methodologies; leading in a way that results in the best outcomes for individual projects.• Actively translates complex business needs into actionable requirements and tasks to be completed by the project team• Manages project resource capacity, ensuring that required capacity is properly allocated.• Expertly facilitates virtual and in-person meetings with diverse team members, from senior leaders to technical teams. Engages cross-functional stakeholders to solicit feedback and ensure customer satisfaction.• Motivates the project team throughout the project, including forming a close partnership with project stakeholders, and managing project changes and challenges daily.• Proactively manages and anticipates roadblocks for the project team; partners with impacted stakeholders to ensure risks are managed, contingency plans are in place and deliverables are met.• Transparently reports on and is readily apprised of each project's current performance against the approved budget, schedule, resources, and quality.• Develops and delivers presentations to various audiences, including project teams, sponsors, CIO and key stakeholders.• Facilitates retrospectives post go-live. Reports on the post-implementation project results, including results compared with the project’s success criteria and the overall quality of the implementations.• Exemplifies and supports a team branding of excellence by delivering on commitments and ensuring quality results.Program ownership includes;• Leads the development of the overall approach/roadmap for the program, its major time frames and the definition of its major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes of business partners.• Leads reviews with executive sponsors and stakeholders to identify organic or program-specific needs and directs the development of the strategy to address.• Acts as an advisor, building and maintaining relationships across the program’s wider stakeholder community.• Ensures individual projects within the overall program align with program’s strategy and function in support of operational objectives. • Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the program and resolves conflicts.Requirements:• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare IT, computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field. 15 years' experience in Healthcare IT (in lieu of degree required).• Has completed PMP certification.• Preferred: Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI)• 5+ years of project management, includes experience leading IT projectsJob RequirementsApplicable Experience:6-9 yearsProject Management Professional - VariousBachelor's DegreeJob DetailsFull TimeDay (United States of America)SummaryLocation: Crittenton Children's Center | Elm Ave | Kansas City | MOType: Full time
