Director of Technology

Director Of TechnologyColstrip School District is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Director of Technology to join our team. This position is responsible for enterprise-level planning, cybersecurity compliance, technology budgeting, grant acquisition, project management, and the high-level supervision of the technology department. Serves as the primary technology advisor to the Superintendent and School Board, ensuring all IT operations align with district educational goals and state statutory requirements. The Director also serves as a hands-on working director, traveling to various sites to oversee and assist in the installing, operation, and troubleshooting of the District's computer networks and systems. This position reports to the Superintendent and offers a supportive work environment with room for professional growth with the Administrative team. Starting Salary: $70,000 annually. Benefits include a high and low deductible health insurance plans with health insurance savings. The District provides $40,000 life insurance.The successful applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certifications in computer technology, network engineering, or a related field preferred, not required. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience, including leadership, budgeting, and network infrastructure management is preferred. Experience navigating K-12 specific funding (E-Rate) and educational data privacy laws (FERPA/CIPA) is highly preferred.Application, credentials, and three letters of reference will be accepted immediately.
