Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for cats and dogs and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Fishkill, New York. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers the opportunity to work alongside a large, experienced veterinary team in a collaborative environment dedicated to providing exceptional companion animal care. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals, including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and client education. Responsibilities include performing routine and advanced surgical procedures, managing medical cases, conducting wellness examinations, providing urgent care, and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. The role also involves working closely with fellow veterinarians and support staff to maintain a positive, team-focused culture. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This small animal hospital provides a comprehensive range of services for cats and dogs, including wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, microchipping, senior pet care, nutritional counselling, sick visits, urgent care, palliative care, euthanasia, behaviour counselling, laser therapy, and pet travel certificates. The hospital is equipped with in-house laboratory facilities, access to a comprehensive reference laboratory, digital radiography with STAT consultations, ECG, cytology, blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography by appointment, abdominal ultrasound by appointment, and advanced anaesthetic monitoring equipment including ECG, pulse oximetry, capnography, intravenous fluid therapy, and heating support. Laser therapy is available to support pain management, tissue healing, mobility, and post-operative recovery following surgeries and dental procedures. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

The hospital is supported by a combined team of 10 DVMs and a great tenured support staff. The collaborative environment encourages teamwork, knowledge sharing, and high-quality patient care while fostering a positive and supportive workplace.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
