This contract position seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist, ideally registered, to deliver exceptional care across night shifts. Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week
• Night shifts
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• No block scheduling
• No on-call requirements
• Contract duration: 4-5 weeks

Qualifications:

• Current Rhode Island Respiratory Therapist license required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
• Experience in acute care or hospital settings highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as necessary
• Operate and maintain various types of respiratory equipment
• Document patient information accurately and promptly in medical records
• Attend to emergency situations and deliver care efficiently under pressure
• Educate patients and families about respiratory therapies and equipment use
• Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital safety guidelines
