Embedded Software Engineer (Linux, C++, Python Required)

Our client is searching for an Embedded Software Developer for a temp-to-perm position in Houston, TX.***All candidates must work directly for TEKsystems on a W2 basis and no sponsorship is available******All candidates must have professional experience providing embedded software development using Linux, C++, and Python***Duties:• Design, develop, and maintain the engineering tools and infrastructure supporting embedded Linux development.• Build and optimize automated firmware build, test, packaging, provisioning, flashing, recovery, and release pipelines.• Develop hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and board-farm automation for firmware validation and regression testing.• Integrate static analysis, automated testing, and quality gates into the software development lifecycle.• Build and adopt AI-assisted engineering workflows —agent-driven tooling and autonomous engineering processes — that measurably improve software quality and engineering velocity.• Partner with firmware, hardware, and QA engineers to solve complex technical challenges and continuously improve engineering processes.All candidates must submit to a drug and background check.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
