Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations with the aid of standardized tests and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that target immediate objectives as well as broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy interventions that encompass communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to build cohesive care plans.
• Provide education for patients and families to promote progress beyond the therapy setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each client's journey.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation that meets all relevant state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing learning through continued education and collaboration with peers to remain at the forefront of the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
