Dietary Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food service department in Creve Coeur, MO. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals while maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for promoting healthy eating within a healthcare or institutional setting. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the dietary department to ensure efficient and effective food service operations. Manage food preparation and service to meet nutritional standards and dietary requirements of residents or clients. Supervise, train, and evaluate dietary staff to maintain high performance and compliance with policies. Develop menus in collaboration with dietitians and ensure variety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Maintain inventory control, order supplies, and manage food costs within budget guidelines. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to food safety and sanitation. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas to uphold cleanliness and safety standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions. Prepare reports related to dietary operations, staffing, and budget management. Qualifications Food Service Management, or related field preferred. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Minimum of 3 years experience in dietary management, preferably in healthcare, assisted living/memory care or long-term care settings. Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety regulations, and dietary guidelines. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
