This is a per diem opportunity with a convenient day shift schedule. There is an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing and completion of an accredited RN First Assistant program that includes didactic and supervised clinical practice, as based on AORN's core curriculum for the RNFA.
• 3-5 years experience in Perioperative Nursing is required.
• Must be a registered nurse currently licensed to practice in the State of Florida, possess OR certification [CNOR] from the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) certification [C-RNFA] or eligible to complete supervised hours necessary to sit for the RNFA certification exam by AORN within 90 days of employment.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS

The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a specialized registered nurse whose practice is an extension of perioperative nursing and has acquired knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to provide the surgical team with assistance within the Operating Room and other similar settings. The development of specific technical skills enables the RNFA to assist the surgeon with specific intraoperative procedures that are beyond the scope of practice for registered nurses without RNFA education and training.
