Anesthesiology Physician

This role involves providing acute, medical, and surgical care across a wide range of specialties. Practice Info Award-winning 470+ bed healthcare facility and teaching institution Serves borough residents as a leader in acute, medical, and surgical care Specialties include emergency care, surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, pediatrics, podiatry, endocrinology, urology, oncology, orthopedics, neonatal intensive care, and maternal health Care team model that supports, respects, and helps deliver care excellence Responsibilities Perform case assignments in acute, medical, and surgical care, including emergency care, surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, pediatrics, podiatry, endocrinology, urology, oncology, orthopedics, neonatal intensive care, and maternal health Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment Obtain and/or verify patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform clinical intervention as needed Compensation Salary: $550,000 Sign on Incentive: $100,000 Compensation package: $550,000 annually Benefits ~ Generous paid time off ~ Comprehensive benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance ~ Flexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings Accounts ~401(k) ~ Profit sharing ~ Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage ~ Leadership and professional development opportunities Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Currently licensed as a physician
