Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Room License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Emergency Room experience required - Charge experience preferred - Charting system experience preferred Description: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required. BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required. Candidates must have experience with patient ratios of 4. Should have experience with integrated charting systems. Previous charge experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred. Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience is preferred. Trauma Level I and II experience is preferred. Travel experience is required. The nurse will provide care to patients across all age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 97 patients with an expected number of visits per day around 97. Nursing staff may rotate through different sections of the department as needed based on patient situation and volume. Specialized equipment available includes Tele Neuro Machines, Baxter EKG Machines, and Glide scopes. Ability to manage various medical scenarios such as abdominal pain, asthma, drug overdose, burns, and more. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in essential skills such as intubation, IV management, and procedural sedation. Management of mental/behavioral health conditions is a critical component of this role. The expected patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends is 4 patients per nurse.
