Night Shift 8 hours/day 5 days/week

Schedule: Nights Shift 5*8s 40hours/week

Facility: DeMay Living Center – Moore Place, Newark, NY

Patient Population: Alzheimer’s/dementia patients with unpredictable verbal or physical aggression

Experience: 1 year required; first-time travelers accepted

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Floating: Required as per facility needs

Local Candidates: Not accepted; must reside more than 50 miles away

Certification: BLS

Orientation: Day-shift orientation during the first week

Compliance: Fingerprint forms must be submitted within 48 hours of signing

Key Skills: LTC, ADLs, bathing/hygiene, feeding, ambulation, transfers, Hoyer lift, repositioning, skin care, incontinence care, vital signs, catheter care, intake/output monitoring, PPE, and patient safety

Unit Highlights

Secured, structured environment focused on behavioral stabilization and discharge planning.

Residents may exhibit verbal or physical aggression.

Admission restrictions: Residents requiring oxygen/tubing, IV therapy, feeding tubes, lines/ports/drains, insulin pumps, catheters, or nephrostomy tubes are not accepted.

• Shift Ratios: Days 1:5 | Nights 1:10 | Weekends 1:7
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required as per facility needs
