Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $49-81 per hour

Tenet Desert – Registered Nurse (RN) ICU – Intensive Care Unit Location: La Quinta, California. Specialty: ICU – Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing Hours: 36 per week (12‑hour night shifts, 1900‑0730) Employment Type: Staff / Full Time Schedule: 6 shifts per two‑week pay period; weekends required Sign‑On Bonus: Up to $25,000, based on experience Position Overview The professional nurse in critical care uses the nursing process to plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care. The nurse considers the patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, language barriers, age, teaching needs, and readiness to learn. The nurse involves the interdisciplinary team in the plan of care and patient intervention. The RN I independently cares for two critically ill patients; assesses and cares for patients on ventilators and understands alarms and parameters. The RN I understands basic dysrhythmias and the hemodynamic status of the patient, assists with bedside procedures, and administers medications prescribed by the physician according to policy. The RN I functions in a mentoring relationship with an RN II or RN III in developing autonomous nursing practice.
