LICENSED LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / TECHNICAL LEAD

JOB SUMMARY 

\n

Licensed Landscape Architect / Technical Lead shall provide leadership in technical excellence for the design team, ensure exceptional documentation output and mentor junior landscape architects and designers to maintain high technical standards, develop technical expertise and facilitate professional development.   

\n

\n

MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

\n

Serve as Technical Lead on landscape design projects and assist on multi-disciplinary projects as needed. Specific tasks include: 

\n

\n

1. Daily / weekly mentoring of junior design staff 

\n

2. Review grading, drainage, planting, site layout, and technical details construction documents.  

\n

3. Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with Massachusetts standards.  

\n

4. Ensure projects meet the firm’s standards for content, form, and accuracy, following all firm QA/QC (quality assurance/quality control) protocols, before permit and bid submissions 

\n

5. Support permitting and construction administration as needed.  

\n

6. Develop and maintain CAD standards, details, and office technical standards.  

\n

7. Assist w/specifications, details, quality-control review and construction details.  

\n

8. Provide technical solutions for complex design and construction issues. 

\n

9. Review RFI’s, submittals, and shop drawings as needed.  

\n

10. Maintain a thorough and well-organized project file for posterity.  

\n

11. Conduct internal technical training sessions.  

\n

12. Facilitate junior staff preparations for professional landscape architecture licensure.  

\n

13. Participate in periodic internal training sessions / team meetings.  

\n

14. Serve as the firm’s technical resource.  

\n

\n

QUALIFICATIONS 

\n

Licensed Landscape Architect (Massachusetts preferred; reciprocity acceptable) with 10-15+ years of professional experience; Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university; Possess a complete repertoire of technical, analytical and design skills suited to the profession of landscape design; Maintain American Society of Landscaper Architecture membership in good standing or willingness to acquire; Pursue timely completion of continuing education requirements. Valid Driver’s License required.

WORK ARRANGEMENT 

\n

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) with hourly compensation based on experience; Hybrid / Remote / In office as Needed
