Work Environment

Our Urgent Care Clinic is housed within a modern hospital facility, equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and support services that enable our team to provide comprehensive care. The ideal candidate will thrive in an onsite work setting where teamwork and communication are essential for delivering timely and effective patient care. Our schedule is Monday to Friday, with a standard 40-hour workweek, beginning with the 5:00 PM shift, providing a structured yet dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations by performing thorough physical examinations and reviewing medical histories to inform clinical decision-making.
• Order, interpret, and explain diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies to patients, helping to clarify their health status.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute conditions—from respiratory ailments to minor injuries—developing tailored treatment plans while ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
• Implement appropriate care protocols for chronic diseases, effectively monitoring and adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
• Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring a clear communication of the expected outcomes and side effects to the patient.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic health records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitating seamless communication among the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and their families about health issues, preventive practices, and lifestyle changes, empowering them to take charge of their health.
• Promote wellness initiatives within the clinic, encouraging healthy practices and preventative care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to clinical research efforts to advance the quality of care at our facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be responsible for caring for a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing acute illnesses and injuries. Our clinic serves a wide range of age groups, from children to seniors, often welcoming patients with varied medical backgrounds and health concerns. Your ability to quickly identify and address patient needs will be vital in achieving favorable health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program and a valid California State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in an urgent care or emergency setting, demonstrating competence in both primary and acute care practices.
• In-depth knowledge of health regulations and patient care standards is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to foster effective interactions with patients, families, and medical staff.
• Strong ethical values, showing a genuine commitment to patient care and well-being.

• A DEA number is required for prescription authority.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
