As a leading full-service child care and early education provider, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Pre School Lead Teacher to join our team in The Bronx, New York.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Pre School Lead Teacher to lead our Head Start, 3K, and UPK classrooms. The successful candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues. As a leader in our organization, you will be responsible for promoting a positive and engaging learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of our young students.
Responsibilities:
Structure a learning environment that promotes child health and safety
Plan and lead classroom instruction that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children
Actively engage with families to ensure parents/caregivers are knowledgeable about the child’s program
Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including the incorporation of transitions and age-appropriate opportunities
Create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for students that is conducive to learning
Support implementation of behavior plans and/or IFSP/IEP goals, as appropriate
Requirements:
BA in ECE (Early Childhood Education) or related field - Study Plan Eligible –
At least 2 years of experience in early childhood education
