Pharmacy Technician | Albany, New York

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available in the Albany, NY area with a contract-to-hire arrangement. This role supports a Long-Term Care (LTC) mail order environment, offering the possibility to transition to a permanent position after eight weeks. The schedule includes primarily day and evening shifts from Monday to Friday, with four day shifts (9am - 5pm) and one evening shift (2pm - 10pm) per week, along with rotating weekends. Key Responsibilities: Accurately enter prescription orders in the system Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for Long-Term Care and mail order patients Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures Manage inventory and restocking of medications and supplies Maintain accurate and organized records of prescriptions and transactions Desired Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician Strong proficiency in prescription order entry Pharmacy technician license is a plus but not mandatory Ability to work efficiently in both day and evening shifts with flexibility for rotating weekends Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills Location: Albany, New York Schedule: Monday through Friday Four day shifts (9am - 5pm) and one evening shift (2pm - 10pm) weekly This contract-to-hire role offers the chance to grow professionally within a dynamic pharmacy setting focused on quality patient care.
