Position Summary:

As a Navigator I in our Outreach and Enrollment Department, you will enroll and assist individuals and families and small businesses in our community with Health Insurance by way of the NYS of Health- Health Plan Marketplace. The Navigator will be responsible for outreach, screening and enrolling individuals/families and Small Businesses through the New York State of Health (Medicaid, Essential Plan, Child Health Plus, Qualified Health Plans and SHOP)

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. 
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Previous experience as Facilitated Enroller, IPA Navigator, or other enrollment-based health care positions is a huge plus, however this is an entry level role and training will be provided. 
• 1+ year of general healthcare experience required
• Knowledge of Affordable Care Act
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience with data entry.

Key Duties:

• Assist and Enroll individuals, families, and small businesses with Health Insurance coverage through the New York State of Health.
• Educate individuals and families about the types of health insurance programs offered through the New York State of Health
• Assist, educate and enroll Small Business about the New York State of Health Small Business Marketplace.
• Attend community events, health fairs, etc and build community partnership to build relationships.
• Educate the community about the services provided by the Navigators.
• Conduct outreach activities to identify uninsured individuals 
• Meets requirements set by funding source and by the agency, including programmatic monthly & daily reports

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

Onsite, Bronx, NY, Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional Saturdays (only for special events). Must be comfortable providing coverage as needed throughout our Bronx and Corona, Queens Health Centers. (Queens coverage will be on an as needed basis and on rotation with the team)  

Starting Compensation: 

Minimum $20.67 per hour; Maximum $20.67 per hour
