.NET Developer & Internal Systems Lead

Salary: $65,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with C# and .NET
• Understanding of web applications and SQL Server
• Front-end fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps, Git or Azure Repos, and SharePoint
• Experience with Power Automate and/or Power BI
• Experience building internal portals, dashboards, or estimating tools
• Interest in learning Blazor, IIS, and deployment workflows
• Enthusiasm for AI tools and applying them to business challenges
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Curiosity about manufacturing and fabrication workflows
• Ability to work onsite in Pacific, Missouri, in the St. Louis metro area
• Preferred: Experience with Azure Static Web Apps, Azure App Service, or IIS hosting; DevOps or automation pipelines; AI/ML integrations in production applications; ERP, MRP, or manufacturing software; small-business or multi-role environments; or woodworking and fabrication

• Develop and maintain internal .NET applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, and Blazor
• Take ownership of and improve our Proposal Generation and Order Entry systems
• Maintain system stability and availability, targeting 99.9% uptime
• Build new modules and integrations as our roadmap evolves, using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot
• Build, publish, and deploy applications to IIS and Azure; configure app pools, bindings, SSL, and code signing
• Maintain stable staging and production environments and coordinate server escalations with outsourced IT
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, document common fixes, and assist office and shop staff
• Learn stair-manufacturing workflows and the full order lifecycle, including how proposals, orders, production, and billing connect
• Identify, scope, and prioritize system improvements
• Progress from learning the environment and assisting with small tasks to independently owning core systems, deployments, support, and roadmap contributions

We are Kirkwood Stair & Millwork (KSM), a custom stair and millwork fabricator headquartered in Pacific, Missouri. Our craftspeople combine traditional joinery with CNC equipment to create premium staircases, railings, and architectural woodwork from domestic and select exotic hardwoods. We are growing through prefabricated stair production, expansion into new markets, and investment in technology. In this high-impact role, you will take ownership of our proprietary .NET and SQL Server OE2 platform after a structured knowledge transfer, and help develop capabilities such as AI-assisted estimating, materials planning, purchasing automation, production scheduling, and a customer-facing stair configurator. You will work closely with our current developer and have direct access to leadership and visible impact. Manufacturing experience is not required; interest in how things are made and the potential of AI is important. The role is onsite in Pacific, Missouri. Compensation is $65,000–$90,000 per year, with 401(k), matching contributions, health, dental and vision insurance, and paid time off.
