Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in the NICU, including airway management and ventilation support under physician direction.
- Manage ventilator settings, CPAP/BiPAP, humidification, suctioning, and other modalities as prescribed; monitor patient response and adjust as needed.
- Perform routine and emergent respiratory procedures, including chest therapy, aerosol therapies, and airway clearance techniques, while maintaining infection control standards.
- Collaborate with the NICU team-physicians, nurses, and therapists-to develop and adjust care plans; participate in rounds and document patient progress.
- Monitor vital signs, telemetry, blood gases, and device alarms; respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate as required.
- Maintain equipment readiness, perform routine maintenance and safety checks, and ensure accurate charting and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
- Active Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- NBRC-RRT certification
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience; neonatal delivery experience preferred
- NICU-specific certifications and competencies required for neonatal care delivery
