QA TEST LEAD (prior exp as a TEST LEAD) UI, API, AI-Driven Automation IRVING TX (No 3rd Party) US

Location: HYBRID IRVING TX Employment Type: Contract to Hire convert to FTE perm - US Company: Large Healthcare Organization Experience: 7yrs + Note: This position does not offer be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needs.

Summary We are seeking a seasoned QA Test Lead (prior exp mandatory) with strong hands-on expertise across UI and API automation, modern QA engineering practices, and experience leveraging AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test development.

The ideal candidate has excellent leadership skills, deep understanding of QA methodologies, and the ability to architect scalable automation frameworks using Java or Python.

This role will define test strategies, lead automation initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure high quality delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.

• 5 8 years of hands-on QA experience across UI, API, and end to end testing.
• 5+ years of strong programming experience in Java or Python for automation development.
• 5+ years of expert-level UI test automation with Selenium WebDriver.
• 5+ years of advanced API automation using Rest Assured or similar frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Pytest).
• 5+ years of SQL experience for backend data validation.
• 3+ years of experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• 1+ year of hands-on experience using AI tools (GitHub Copilot) for code generation, refactoring, or QA optimization.
• Demonstrate strong ownership by proactively identifying risks, communicating them early, and detecting requirement or design gaps during requirement gathering phases.
