Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 36 Hours/Week | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple acute care units including medical surgical, orthopedics, urology, neurology, GYN, cardiology/telemetry, surgery, and cardiothoracic
• Deliver direct patient care with an average patient ratio of 5:1
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms
• Administer and manage IV medications in accordance with facility protocols
• Adapt quickly to varying unit environments, patient populations, and workflows
• Maintain compliance with scheduling requirements, including availability most Fridays and adherence to RTO limitations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently read telemetry strips; must pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or higher (two attempts permitted)
• Experience with Meditech electronic health records
• At least one recent successful travel nursing contract
• Active RN licensure in Massachusetts or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Psychiatric nursing experience highly preferred
• Experience with Epic electronic health records strongly preferred
• 5 or more years of float pool nursing experience
• Step-down unit experience, particularly for candidates seeking night shift placement
