Our client is looking for a legal receptionist to act as the primary face of a law firm or corporate legal department, greeting clients, managing confidential communications, and coordinating schedules for attorneys.

Pay Rate: 17.00 / h

Core Responsibilities

• Client Intake and Front Desk: Welcome visitors, verify client identity, handle initial check-ins, and maintain a quiet, professional lobby environment.
• Communications and Triage: Manage multi-line phone systems, screen incoming calls, route time-sensitive or urgent legal matters to appropriate attorneys, and maintain rigid privacy protocols.
• Scheduling and Calendaring: Book client consultations, manage attorney calendars, and track critical dates for depositions, client meetings, and internal deadlines.
• Document and Mail Handling: Process physical and digital legal correspondence, sort incoming mail and courier packages, and assist with basic document scanning, photocopying, or court filing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Discretion: High emotional intelligence and strict adherence to attorney-client privilege and confidentiality.
• Legal Familiarity: Basic understanding of legal terminology, court documents, and practice management software like Clio.
• Communication: Clear, polite, and reassuring verbal and written communication skills to deal with stressed or sensitive clients.
• Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED is required, alongside 1 to 2 years of prior administrative or reception experience, preferably within a professional services or legal environment. [
