Structures TechnicianWe are seeking experienced Structures Technicians to perform aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and heavy maintenance in a hangar environment. This role supports scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) response efforts to keep aircraft operating safely and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesPerform structural repairs, sheet metal work, modifications, and heavy maintenanceComplete riveting, structural rework, and component replacementsInterpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manualsInspect aircraft structures and troubleshoot maintenance issuesDocument maintenance activities in compliance with FAA and company requirementsSupport AOG events and urgent repair needs to return aircraft to serviceTravel as needed to perform on-site maintenance and repair work.Essential SkillsFAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification preferredMinimum 3 years of aircraft structural maintenance experienceExperience with structural modifications, repairs, and aircraft maintenance proceduresAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawingsFamiliarity with FAA regulations and compliance requirementsMust own required aircraft maintenance toolsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and support AOG situations.Additional Skills & QualificationsCommercial aircraft experience preferred (B737, A320, B747, or similar platforms)MRO experience is a plusExperience with sheet metal repairs, riveting, and structural modificationsWillingness to travel and work flexible hours when neededAbility to obtain an airport SIDA badgeStrong communication and teamwork skillsCommitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.Work EnvironmentWork is performed primarily in a hangar environment on a variety of aircraft platforms. The current schedule is Monday through Friday on day shift, with potential opportunities for other shifts in the future. This role requires standing, kneeling, working overhead, and occasionally working at heights or in confined spaces.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
