Machine Builder (CNC Plasma & Waterjet Equipment) Pay & Benefits: $27/hr, contract-to-hire. Hours & Location: 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (½-hour lunch). Cleveland, OH (44135 area). Job Responsibilities Assemble CNC plasma cutting machines and waterjet machines by working from detailed blueprints. Build sub-assemblies and install components such as nozzles, control valves, and related hardware. Use hand and power tools daily to fit, fasten, and finish assemblies to spec. Read and interpret both mechanical and electrical drawings. Work with electronic control panels, support machine start-up, perform testing, and troubleshoot issues. Stand for long periods and perform repetitive work; lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in machine building, electromechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, or similar manufacturing work. Strong blueprint reading skills (mechanical + electrical) and solid math/measurement ability. Mechanically inclined with confidence using hand and power tools. Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work well with others on the shop floor. Able to speak and understand English for training, safety, and teamwork. Work Environment: You’ll work in a clean, air-conditioned facility with a small-team, family-style culture focused on precision-built equipment and long-term stability. Dress is shop-friendly (jeans/t-shirt) and safety is taken seriously—steel-toe boots and safety glasses are required. Contract-to-Hire & Pay Growth: This is a contract-to-hire role. Permanent hire comes with the full benefits package and ongoing pay growth through annual performance reviews.
