Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized speech and language therapy services to patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient function and quality of life, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing functions using standardized assessments.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy interventions as needed in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and rehabilitation techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care and ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation and discharge summaries in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Hold certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Possess valid state licensure in Oklahoma.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Have experience working in long-term care or rehabilitation environments.
• Be able to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Exhibit adherence to ASHA and state professional conduct, ethics, and practice standards.
