Sleep accommodations provided in Pre-Op/PACU area during on-call shifts

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/CVOR position requiring 2 years of Level I or II trauma CVOR experience and a SD or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the CVOR unit of a Level II Trauma Center hospital with 2 ORs, 20 Pre-Op bays, and 14 PACU bays
• Patient population includes cardiothoracic and vascular surgery cases such as CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, thoracic cases, generator exchanges, lead extractions, fem-pop bypass, open vascular cases, AAA repairs, carotids, and conversions
• OR patient ratio is 1:1

Requirements

• Active RN license (South Dakota or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Level I or Level II trauma center experience required
• Strong CVOR background needed across all specialties with ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Completion of an accredited nursing education program approved by a board of nursing

Additional Information

• Circulate in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery cases, supporting surgeons and surgical teams
• Work alongside a dedicated support team including First Assist, Surgical Techs, Nurse Clinician, CRN, Service Line Leads, HUC, Scheduler, and Anesthesia
• Facility follows a '2 Tech' model with two surgical techs scrubbed into every case
• Unit orientation consists of 5 shifts of 8 hours each
• Potential to work every holiday
• Scrubs provided and free parking available
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• Permanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a traveler
