Your Day
br p strongThe job responsibilities emmay /eminclude the following:/strong br ul liUnloading and moving cargo amp; materials from delivery trucks, to and from receiving areas, loading docks, ships, and containers./li liHandling cargo including furniture, household goods, merchandise and other items as required./li liKeeping track of package numbers, sometimes with hand-held scanners, to confirm proper delivery./li liOpening containers and sorting materials./li liLabeling cartons, inspecting items for defects, and keeping records of unpacked or unloaded./li liAssembling and disassembling furniture./li liCompiling inventories of goods, keeping records of materials moved and completing invoices for customers./li liUsing special machinery such as forklifts or moving dollies for heavy items and navigating stairs./li liDriving moving trucks and keeping track of mileage and fuel purchases./ul /p
