Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Surgical (ICU Surgical) position is located in a facility with specialized critical care services. The role involves providing advanced patient care in a surgical intensive care environment, with scheduled night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment requires prior travel experience and a minimum of two years of clinical experience in critical care settings. Candidates will be expected to float to related units as needed and adhere to the facilitys safety and dress code protocols.

- Schedule: Unit scheduled rotation; no self-scheduling; block scheduling not guaranteed
- Working Hours: Minimum of 36 hours per week

- Experience: Minimum 2 years clinical experience, with prior travel experience required; trauma level 1 experience preferred
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Preferred Certifications: None specified
- Clinical Skills: Ventilators, vasopressor management, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump
- EMR Systems: Epic, Cerner, Meditech
- Patient Care: Critical care modality; patient ratios estimated at 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 depending on unit needs
- Equipment & Skills: Ventilators, vasopressor management, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, EKGs, sheath disconnection
- Additional Requirements: Prospect must be comfortable floating to ICU, stepdown/Progressive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical units as needed; COVID-19 vaccination with seasonal influenza vaccination required; medical exemptions allowed with documentation
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs, closed-toe non-permeable shoes, groomed hair/beard, no jewelry or nail polish permitted
- Compliance & Onboarding: Processing may take up to 14 business days; no RTO during first 2 weeks; maximum of 8 RTO days for 13-week contract; holiday presence required
- Notes: Offer has been extended, and candidate has accepted; candidate is open to floating within scope; candidates with trauma level 1 experience and teaching hospital background preferred
